Summer Camps

July 27–31, 2026
Five days of music, friendship, creativity, and performance.

Registration is open!

What is Summer Orchestra Camp?

MVYSO’s full orchestra summer camp is designed for students who want to strengthen their musical skills, meet new friends, and perform in a fun, encouraging environment.

Students rehearse in ensembles throughout the week and participate in sectionals led by coaches who specialize in their instruments. Camp concludes with a Friday evening performance for family and friends.

If you’ve never participated in a youth symphony before, summer camp is a great introduction. Almost all band, orchestra, and percussion students can participate.

Who can participate?

Students with one school year of playing experience through advanced musicians are welcome.

Automatic scholarships are available for students playing any of the following instruments: oboe, bassoon, bass, French horn, trombone, tuba.

Saxophone Information:

Saxophone parts are not available in every piece performed at camp, so doubling on another instrument is recommended.

Students interested in learning an endangered instrument such as oboe, bassoon, or French horn before camp are encouraged to contact MVYSO for more information.

Saxophones are welcome in the Jazz Experience add-on.
