MVYSO ENSEMBLES
Symphony Orchestra is an advanced orchestra for high school and college-age musicians playing challenging symphonic repertoire. Members enjoy the enrichment and striving for excellent music with other dedicated members. Generally for students with 4+ years of playing experience.
Chamber Ensembles for advanced symphony players who would like more performance opportunities. Special audition required.
Philharmonia for middle school and high school students with intermediate technical ability. Musicians build basic orchestral playing skills. Generally for students with 2-4 years of playing experience.
Debut Orchestra
This group is designed for students with 1 - 3 years of playing ability. This group is intended to help give the student the skills and cofidence to play in more advanced orchestar groups.

About MVYSO
Wind Ensemble
This group is designed for the advanced woodwind or brass player who is interested in being an ambassador in the community for the MVYSO. Wind Ensemble will have additional performances and rehearsals. Placement in Wind Ensemble is based on audition and instrumentation needs of the group. Wind Ensemble will be under the direction of Dr. Margaret Young-Weitzel.
String Ensemble
This group is designed for the advanced string player who is interested in being an ambassador in the community for the MVYSO. String Ensemble will have additional performances and rehearsals. Placement in String Ensemble is based on audition and instrumentation needs of the group. String Ensemble will be under the direction of Daniel Mullikin.
